The Hotel was opened with the vision of capturing the best of Taormina and Sicily all under one roof. The hotel definitely succeeded and has been renovated last winter leaving you with the latest and highest standard in luxury hotels.

• Villa Athena has been recently renovated (2015/2016). This means the rooms have been upgraded to the latest standard in comfort and design and equipped with the latest technology. All rooms and suites have become warm bright spaces.

• The hotel is very intimate and cosy and only has 18 rooms and suites. This gives you the idea of being at home away from home especially with the staff treating you like friends of the villa instead of hotel guests. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the center of Taormina.

• For great food you do not have to travel far in Sicily but staying at Villa Ducale you don't have to travel at all as the restaurant here serves mouthwatering dishes prepared with local produce (when available) and fresh ingredients from the sea and land. All seafood comes from Straits of Messina and of Trapani's fish market (Sicily's largest fish market and definitely worth a visit!). the bar is a cosy hangout where they serve cooled Prosecco's and whites, superb reds and cocktails that perfectly blend with Sicily and the surroundings of Villa Ducale.

• The Hotel does not come with an extensive Spa but instead you can relax in the luscious garden or in the Jacuzzi and we guarantee you that the seaviews at Villa Ducale can be just as relaxing as a good massage. Some treatments are available on request at the hotel's front desk.
